It is no secret that I love personalized products! You can imagine how excited I was when I discovered online recently. They feature an amazing selection of everything from pillowcases and iPhone cases to placemats and cosmetic bags and everything in-between. Here are some of my favorite pieces:

Recently I had the opportunity to review one of their platters. I went with one of their , which sells for $33.50. I absolutely love the fact that you can pick your colors, font and pattern. They want it to be exactly what you imagined. It is so beautiful that I have it on display on the hutch in my front room!


Their 14” x 11” platters are handmade and are made of melamine, which is a hard plastic. They are BPA free and dishwasher safe but are not microwavable. They also advise that to preserve the finish you should not use abrasive cleaners.

I think their platters would make for a wonderful gift for a wedding, hostess gift, holiday or just because. They are perfect for entertaining. I really love that they have holiday themed pieces as well. How cute are these?

A few months ago I was watching an episode of Dr. Oz where they were talking about how important the things we put on our body being as important as the things we put in them. The said that the average woman put something like 28 chemicals on her face before leaving the house in the morning and that our skin absorbs these chemicals and they can build up as toxins in our bodies and cause problems over time. That really got me thinking about the products that I put on my face, especially my moisturizer, and I decided I wanted to make a change. I started researching companies that offer natural, chemical free skincare products and I am very excited to introduce you to !

Aimee’s mission is to create the purest and most natural skincare (how amazing does her skin look by the way). It is a light, non-greasy moisturizer that absorbs quickly. Often when I change my moisturizer I have a mini breakout as my skin transitions but that did not happen with this moisturizer. Most of the moisturizers that I have used in the past do not have a scent; the Light & Moisturizing Facial Cream has a very strong scent. It is very herbal and natural smelling because of the herbs and oils that are in the cream. The scent doesn’t last for long and while it was a big change initially I have grown to love it.

The Light & Moisturizing Facial Cream is rich in Vitamin’s A, B1, B2, D, E, & Beta Carotene, minerals, essential fatty acids, amino acids, ALA’s and protein. These ingredients work together to refine, renew and rejuvenate your skin cells while protecting your skin from damage. Your skin will feel more nourished and you will notice that your skin is softer. I love the difference that it is making in my skin and the fact that the ingredients are all natural.

SnackTAXI Review and Giveaway (Ends 8/26)

Have you heard of ? They are a US based company that makes reusable snack, sandwich and produce sized sacks. They also make reusable napkins.  Erin founded snack Taxi in 2003. Erin is a mother of three who wanted to reduce the amount of plastic waste that came from her children’s lunches. As Erin put it she, “had definitely fallen prey to the easy appeal of the ziplock baggie. “

Snack Taxi sacks are made of fabric and are lined with a coated nylon and a Velcro closure to keep things from falling out. They also offer organic options as well. They can be machine washed and dried or wiped clean with a damp cloth. At first I was concerned about how much time and energy it might take to clean them out but it has been surprisingly easy.

On their site they shared some stunning information: “The US alone adds 20 million plastic baggies to landfills every single day. Every reusable bag you use has the potential to eliminate thousands of plastic bags over its life span. The snack-sacks and sandwich-sacks that we’ve sent out into the world in the last 2 years alone have kept over 7 million plastic baggies out of the waste stream.  That’s 430,000 pounds of plastic!”

I was shocked when I started paying attention to how many plastic bags my Snack Taxi replaced. In the first few weeks it replaced at least 10 bags and that was in the summertime. I can only imagine the difference the Snack Taxi will make during the school year!

Snack Taxi is also very easy and convenient, especially with the school year starting soon. I would recommend having a few on hand so that you can always have them ready to go. We love our Sandwich Sack. I use it for sandwiches and also use it to hold his snacks for road trips etc. People are always commenting on how cute it is. Much cuter than plastic bags! The Velcro closure is easy for my son to open but stays put until you want to open it. They are well made in rural Massachusetts by local sewers.

Kidecals Review and Giveaway (Ends 8/22)

Is it just me or is it beyond frustrating to have to constantly be replacing everyday items that seem to sprout legs and run away? I cannot count the amount of sippy and snack cups that I have had to replace over the years. Don’t get me started on dishes that I bring to potlucks or dinner parties that end up going home with someone else. Not to mention jackets and other every day items that always seem to disappear.

As a former teacher getting ready for my first child to start school, anticipating the amount of time I will be spending in the lost and found, I decided to take a more proactive approach and started looking for solutions. In the past I have seen and used many different kinds of labels. They all inevitably fade, peel, leave residue or don’t stay put. I have spent a lot of time looking for a labeling system that will actually stay put until I want them off.  is exactly what I had been looking for!

Kidecals has a wide selection of personalized, waterproof labels and decals. Their labels stick to any surface including clothes, dishes, sports equipment, supplies and almost anything you can think of. I recently received the Mini Set of labels, which included 120 labels that are 1 x .25 in. They offer many different sizes and styles so it is easy to find the right fit for your needs. When they arrived I was shocked with how tiny yet clear to read and durable they were. At less than 18 cents each, they will be paying for themselves in no time. I am still impressed with how well they have stayed on everything I have put them on so far. Here is the style we went with:

The Pink Monogram Review and Giveaway (Ending 8/18)

Who doesn’t love having something personalized? I am a huge fan of personalized and monogramed gifts. When you receive a gift that is personalized you instantly know that there was thought put into it. I also love the way that having your children’s things personalized makes it so easy for them to keep track of their things. Knowing that the school year is right around the corner and that my son will be starting school for the first time I knew that I wanted to get him something. I was looking online for companies that offer personalized products and I was blown away when I found . How cute is that name by the way?

The Pink Monogram was founded by Monica Smith who taught First Grade for over 20 years.  Monica always had a drive to start her own business. She resigned over nine years ago and started her own monogramming/internet site and hasn’t looked back.

I found the perfect backpack for my son in her back to school collection. We decided to go with the Monogrammed Black Sporty Diamond Backpack. Monica was kind enough to send us the backpack in small and full sizes along with the matching pencil case.

We love them all! The is perfect for outings and appointments. It is the right size for his water, snacks, and a few toys to fit comfortably. It is too small though to comfortably fit a full size folder or notebook. We take this small backpack almost everywhere and my son loves being able to carry his own things (and so do I).

The is PERFECT for school! I love that it is a backpack he can use for years to come. It also has a padded tablet compartment along with three other compartments with multiple pockets and storage. It also has a reinforced design and adjustable, padded, shoulder straps.

The is exactly what we had been looking for! It’s not too big or too small. I was really impressed with what could comfortably fit in it. It would also work great for a travel makeup or toiletries bag.

Not only does The Pink Monogram carry an expansive selection of products, they also have 21 thread colors and 11 font and monogram styles to choose from. The colors and patterns are very true to how they appear on line. I am so glad that I know about The Pink Monogram! It is a perfect site to find wonderful things for back to school and I will definitely be checking back for holiday gifts!

Armpocket Review and Giveaway (Ends 8/12)

I really enjoy exercising but I get frustrated having to carry my phone, keys, ID and other essentials around with me. In the past I have tried several options but none of them really worked for me. When I heard about I was very excited to have the opportunity to try it. Armpocket was actually developed by a team of athletes who wanted to find a solution to a problem. They needed to find a way to be able to carry the essentials with them on a run or at they gym but didn’t want to be weighed down or have them get in the way.

Armpocket features touch window control, headphone port, no slip memory foam and a comfortable vented strap. I have tried other arm devices in the past that would slip and it was always so frustrating. I also couldn’t control my device through the screen. Armpocket is wonderfully designed with these issues in mind. I also love that they are water resistant and machine washable not to mention that they are made from bamboo and recycled products!

They offer the Armpocket in several different models for Blackberry, iPhone, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and other smartphones. They also make accommodations for cases including Otterbox style cases.  I went with the Armpocket Sport i-20 in Red for my iPhone 4s. Each style is offered in a variety of colors with different strap lengths. The Armpocket Sport i-20 claims to be spacious and able to hold your smartphone, keys, cash, credit cards, tissues, energy gels and more. I have a slim Speck case on my phone and it fit perfectly. I doubt any bulkier case would have fit in this model but they do offer other styles for larger phones and cases.

I really like that there’s an elastic strap that holds the phone in place while still offering room for other things in the compartment. The Armpocket i-20 also has slots for two ID’s or credit cards. With my phone and cards in place the empty space in the Armpocket i-20 is about the size of my iPhone 4s including its case.My keys certainly wouldn’t fit but my husband’s would. I could always only put in the essential keys. The amount of storage that it offers is perfect for a run or trip to the gym. I loved being hands free and was also impressed that it didn’t slip off my arm as I ran. It did take some getting used to exercising with something strapped to my arm but that only took a couple workouts before it felt really natural and the convenience is amazing!

My Armpocket i-20 is wonderful! It is appropriately priced at $19.99 and offers the perfect amount of storage for the essentials.
