Boxtera Subscription Box [Review and Giveaway Ends 5/12]

April_Contest_Featured_Image (1)

You know my obsession with subscription boxes, right? Well, I couldn’t wait to share my experience with Boxtera, a healthy snack monthly subscription box that I had the chance to try out recently.

This subscription box was that healthy food did NOT have to be boring. And eating healthy can get a little boring after a while, can’t it? And RaeAnn L. Hommedieu believed that there could be a change to the idea of healthy eating. It didn’t have to boring anymore and soon Boxtera snack subscription box came to be.

Last week I tried out and I loved what I got to try. I received about five full sized snacks and it was so exciting to taste things that I knew were good for me. There was three kinds of dried fruits and two different kinds of crunchy snack packs. Two of the dried fruits were bananas, (I’m not a huge fan of banana), but my brother absolutely loved them. One of them were dried tangerines and it was absolutely unbelievable. I’ve never tasted anything like it.  I’m usually not a huge fan of dried fruit, and this had so much flavor to it. I also had the chance to try Wasabi Bean Medley and Honey Almond Crunch and of the two, I preferred the Honey Almond Crunch the most. I liked the Wasabi, but it didn’t have the same flavor as the Honey Almond Crunch.

These made for some really tasty, healthy snacks. The only downside is they aren’t gluten-free, so if you have a wheat allergy, you should be careful with this subscription box. Best of all though this is a very inexpensive $19.95 per month and you receive 5 full size snacks!

Buy: Purchase your own Boxtera subscription by visiting their website . You can receive 10% off your subscription box through April 30th by using the code APRILBOX.

Love With Food – Healthy Snack Subscription Box – Review and Giveaway [Ends 3/29]

love with food, subscription box, healthy snack subscription box

When I found the healthy snack subscription box, Love with Food, I jumped at the chance to review their product! I’ve changed my diet to being a much healthier one and that means I am having a hard time finding HEALTHY snacks I can enjoy.

Before I talk about my experiences, here’s a little bit about Love With Food. I encourage you to visit the and read about what inspired the founder Aihui Ong to create Love With Food because it’s a touching story. After a series of life changing, and especially traumatic events, found Aihui Ong discovered a passion in food. She states, “I started coding, creating a website to help food makers find alternative distribution and marketing channels and help consumers easily discover great gourmet food.”  Better yet, with each healthy snack subscription box you purchase from Love With Food, they donate a meal to food banks all across the country.

So, now only do you have a healthy snack subscription box delivered to your door once a month, you will also help make a difference in the community. Isn’t that such a wonderful feeling?

Okay, now back to my experience with the box -

First and foremost, I couldn’t believe the amount of food I received! Check this out (and yes, some of those are empty wrappers, I couldn’t wait)

love with food, subscription box, healthy snack subscription box

I got a boat load of chocolate treats (dark chocolate too!), healthy chips and popcorn, olives, and biscotti cookies. I couldn’t wait to share with my family and we sure enjoyed ourselves. Each snack was healthy, even the chocolates. This was obviously food made with love and care – I didn’t spot a single weird ingredient or something I couldn’t pronounce. I felt so good about eating these treats and sharing them with the people I care about!

I was especially surprised about the olives, to be honest. It was in a single serve packet and I was worried that it may not taste right but I had them with lunch the next day and it was perfect! It was fresh tasting and I couldn’t believe the taste (they were green olives by the way!). This little nugget made me really excited about the subscription and encouraged me to consider signing up for my own subscription. You won’t just be received the standard snack of chips and chocolate – you will have surprises like this thrown in there too.

Now, onto the subscribing portion of this post – the prices for this box is incredibly cheap – it’s $10 a month to get the tasting box where you receive about 8 snacks a month and for deluxe box, you get 16 – 20 snacks and it’s only $17 a month! I can’t believe the deal for this box and I know I am going to subscribe when I get the chance.

The only – ONLY – complaint I have is that you can’t specify certain diet restrictions when you sign up (at least, not what I saw). I’m gluten free and I would love to let them know to exclude items with gluten. But that still won’t stop me, I can tell you that.

Buy: You can purchase your healthy snack subscription box with Love With Food by going to their and selecting a $10 tasting box or a $17 deluxe box! Use the link above and receive your first box for $5!

Beauty Box 5 – A Perfect Gift for a Woman of Style

It’s gifting season and I know you are wracking your brain out there for what to give to the ladies in your life. Whether it’s a BFF, a girl friend, a wife, a sister, an aunt, a grandmother – whoever that lady is in your life, gentleman (and ladies), a beauty supply subscription is a fantastic gift for any woman of style. I couldn’t wait to share my experience with Beauty Box 5, and you all know that I’m obsessed with subscription boxes.

I received Beauty Box’s latest box in the mail recently and I just loved what I received. As you can see, I got a variety of items to try out.

I was so excited for the pink nail polish that I received! I put it on almost  immediately and it was such great quality. Among the various items I received was makeup remover and various lotions.

I love subscription boxes and this box comes at a pretty reasonable price of $12 per month. I think that’s an extremely reasonable price and the bigger of a subscription you buy, the more you can save (buy a quarterly subscription and get charged $30 and you save $6! You can also buy a yearly subscription for $99 and save $45!). Right now, if you buy someone a gift subscription, you are either buying them a quarterly gift, a semi-annual gift or a yearly gift.

These savings are a huge selling point for me, I think, especially if you are buying someone a gift. I think the best part of this subscripion box for me is that you can buy the sample items you receive as a full sized product. That’s really easy for me as I tend to be picky about items I put on my skin, so if I do enjoy something, it’s nice to know where to go for it. The only downside is that the products are customized for your skin, so if you have any allergies or specific needs, the subscription aren’t customized for your needs.

Wantable – A Monthly Beauty Subscription Box [Review]

2013-10-27 09.38.27

I love when I find a new beauty subscription box and this week I am sharing my latest fascination – Wantable subscription box! The Wantable subscription box sends you boxes with you in mind. You take quizzes based on what you like and your preferences and your style. Then, they send you a subscription box based on the details you give them.

I got the chance to check out their Halloween edition beauty box -

Wantable Halloween Box

This made for awesome Halloween preparation! I am not a huge fan of glitter based eye shadows, but the lip pencil, lip gloss, and eye lashes were definitely an item I used! But most of all,  I received a LOT in this one box. With every box, you get four to five full sized items. You get quality products too and best of all, you can specify which items that you want them to send you.

And this is just the beginning of the specifications that you can give them! Not to mention, they also have free shipping (and also willing to ship to Australia and Canada with just a small shipping fee).

One thing I love about the Wantable website is that they have an you can win prizes on! Plus, you don’t just have to choose a makeup box, but you can select accessories, intimates, or simply choose their holiday edition. Now, the most important part of it all – the price. It’s only $36/month and this is a fantastic deal. I think this makes for a great gift for a friend, especially by getting them hooked on a holiday edition box. Not to mention, if you subscribe yourself, every referral you make, you accumulate points. Get enough points and you may earn a free box! (I love free stuff!)

 – Beauty Subscription Box [A Review]

Starlooks Subscription Box

By now, you guys probably know that I am a huge fan of subscription boxes. It’s like getting a little prize every month! I recently got to try the beauty subscription box service from

Starlooks Subscription Box

Starlooks Subscription Box

Only $15/month, this subscription box makes for a great gift for your beauty fanatic friend or family member.  The best thing about this subscription box service is that they actually provide full size products (none of those crap tiny samples some provide). In fact, check out the photos I took of the boxes I received:

2013-10-27 09.35.27

2013-10-26 10.44.15

Both of these boxes included full sized products – the first box included two shades of lipstick and glitter eye shadow and the second box contained false eye lashes, lip gloss, and eye shadow. Both boxes included a surprise, too! The first one information about the model Natalie Corona and the second box gave you a chance to try out the assistant service

When I compare this subscription box to others I’ve considered, what I like about this is the price (only $15 per month!!!!) and the fact that you do get full sized items to try. The makeup featured above is quality – you don’t get crap. I love the lip gloss and the lip stick combination and the eye shadow is now part of my regular routine. I don’t get to buy as much makeup these days as I used to so having the chance to get a few items each month at a low price is a nice addition to my makeup bag.

Not to mention, you can always buy past month’s subscription boxes too – plus, all products are cruelty free (which I support and wholeheartedly appreciate).

I want to thank Starlooks for giving me the opportunity to try out this product and I want to invite my readers to consider this as part of their shopping list for the upcoming holiday season!

Try The World – A Subscription Box Review

Hey everyone! I am so happy to be part of this amazing review team – my name is Nicole and you are going to start seeing some of my posts more often around these parts. I love any products that stand out or make me want to gush about them to everyone I know.

I am so excited to bring you the , a subscription box featuring products from around the world! Any chance to get something in the mail that’s fun, tasty, or both is better than the usual mail I get (um, like bills, for example). The company was started by Kat and David who met at Columbia University. They both shared a passion for travel and look to bring the most uncommon items from around the world to the United States (although all items are USFDA approved).

I received the mini Paris box to review and check out all that I received below -

Subscription Box, Paris

My Mini Paris Subscription Box

In this month’s subscription box, received a pack of three teas, hot cocoa, and two mini jellies. The tea was delicious and I savored every cup. This was obviously not the usual tea that I drink as each different pack was either fruity, sweet or lightly flavored. I needed very little sugar or cream while drinking tea. As for the hot cocoa, now that was an experience – it was rich tasting and I could have had so much more. I tried the two different jellies on a muffin that I bought from the store and those made me feel as if I should be sitting in a Paris cafe watching the foot traffic go by (while drinking my French tea, of course).

More than just the items in the subscription box, the box came with a postcard (see photo above) as well as additional cards that describe just the item you are receiving. Not to mention, my favorite part, is you get a list of music from the country you have received for the month (check out this awesome song ).

Overall? If you have a itch that you just can’t scratch when it comes to travel and experiencing what the world has to offer, I highly recommend you subscribe to Try The World. It’s only $45 every two months and you will want to subscribe soon because December’s box is a Tokyo box (I’ve never been so how much I would love to live vicariously through the next month’s box of goodies!).
