By creating environmentally friendly and reusable alternatives to plastic water bottles and food containers New Wave Enviro is making a difference one bottle at a time.

These seemingly small changes really do add up and make a huge difference. Over the years I have become increasingly concerned with my families global footprint. I have been looking for ways to improve and have actually tried several different reusable water containers but haven’t found any that I really liked. The so called unbreakable ones would break, the rest would leak or not keep my water cold and I just hadn’t found any reasonable option that worked well for my family.

I was very excited to have the opportunity to review the and the . We live in Las Vegas and it was a very hot summer. The smaller bottle with the Flip n’ Sip Cap has been perfect for my son. It’s a great size for my little guy and fits perfectly in his backpack. We haven’t had any issues with leaks, which makes me one happy mama!

The 40 oz. Seriously Safe Stainless Steel Bottle has been wonderful for my husband to take to work. He is out and about away from the water cooler for most of his day and the fact that this bottle holds 40 oz. is fabulous. He really loves it and likes that the opening is a good size without being too big or small like many other reusable water bottles. The only possible improvement would be if it were a little more insulated. That being said we do live in a place that has been consistently well over 100 degrees and we like our water ice cold. It has however kept the water colder than other plastic bottles we have used.


I absolutely appreciate the fact that these Seriously Safe Stainless Steel Bottles are completely dishwasher safe.  I hate hand washing so the fact that they are dishwasher safe scores big points in my book!

Try The World – A Subscription Box Review

Hey everyone! I am so happy to be part of this amazing review team – my name is Nicole and you are going to start seeing some of my posts more often around these parts. I love any products that stand out or make me want to gush about them to everyone I know.


I am so excited to bring you the , a subscription box featuring products from around the world! Any chance to get something in the mail that’s fun, tasty, or both is better than the usual mail I get (um, like bills, for example). The company was started by Kat and David who met at Columbia University. They both shared a passion for travel and look to bring the most uncommon items from around the world to the United States (although all items are USFDA approved).

I received the mini Paris box to review and check out all that I received below -

My Mini Paris Subscription Box

In this month’s subscription box, received a pack of three teas, hot cocoa, and two mini jellies. The tea was delicious and I savored every cup. This was obviously not the usual tea that I drink as each different pack was either fruity, sweet or lightly flavored. I needed very little sugar or cream while drinking tea. As for the hot cocoa, now that was an experience – it was rich tasting and I could have had so much more. I tried the two different jellies on a muffin that I bought from the store and those made me feel as if I should be sitting in a Paris cafe watching the foot traffic go by (while drinking my French tea, of course).

More than just the items in the subscription box, the box came with a postcard (see photo above) as well as additional cards that describe just the item you are receiving. Not to mention, my favorite part, is you get a list of music from the country you have received for the month (check out this awesome song ).

Overall? If you have a itch that you just can’t scratch when it comes to travel and experiencing what the world has to offer, I highly recommend you subscribe to Try The World. It’s only $45 every two months and you will want to subscribe soon because December’s box is a Tokyo box (I’ve never been so how much I would love to live vicariously through the next month’s box of goodies!).

Recently I received the . This tote is fabulously versatile. I have used it to carry swimsuits, towels and pool toys. I have also used it in my car to organize toys, books and snacks. The possibilities are endless! It really is an all-purpose tote. It is approx. 11.75”H x 21.5”W x 10”D and I am constantly impressed with how much this bag can hold. I really appreciate that it is sturdy and holds it shape but is also collapsible for easy storage when you are not using it. This bag alone is available in 22 patterns!

Little ones are constantly growing and their feet are continually developing. They need quality, developmentally friendly shoes for their little feet! Rileyroos are specifically designed with the needs of little ones in mind. They put the emphasis on children’s foot development, style, comfort and ease.

Recently I received a pair of for my little girl and we are extremely impressed! Rileyroos combines European fashion trends with American spirit and casualness in their designs. Their styles and colors are fresh, fun and adorable! Here are some of my favorite styles:

Rileyroos are designed to imitate the feel of barefoot walking. The shape of Rileyroos is fabulous! They are curved and rounded on the bottom. The soles are flexible and the rubber padded sole curls above the toes to help as a child develops into crawling and early walking. They are extremely lightweight but also offer protection and traction.

I chose the and absolutely love them! They are perfect for the summer but you can easily add tights or socks for the fall and winter. There is a floral accent on top which adds an adorable touch! I usually have a hard time finding shoes for my little ones that stay on their feet but her Rileyroos do! They were obviously designed with wiggly toes in mind. My daughter is working on her walking and I appreciate the support and flexibility that Rileyroos gives her. I also love that it has a closed toe to for protection while still being a strappy sandal.

Gymboree Review

My son and daughter loved taking their classes last month so when we had the opportunity to do another month of classes we jumped at the chance. This time we decided to try out the 2 hour Art and Sports drop off class for my son. He will be starting pre school in a few weeks so we thought this would be a great way to help him transition to going to class without us.

I wasn’t sure how he was going to do at the drop off class. He always has a wonderful time at Gymboree but he sometimes gets anxious about being places without us. The staff was wonderful and made him feel so comfortable. We had to ease him in the first time but within a few minutes he didn’t remember we were even there and we left without an issue. When we came back 2 hours later he didn’t want to leave!

Little Man was telling me all about soccer and teeth (which had been the topics for the day) and he kept asking me when he could go back to Gymboree. Throughout the next week he continued to use new words he had learned in class and was telling everyone we met (quite literally) about his love for Gymboree. His excitement for his Gymboree class continued to develop week by week! They did a unit on community helpers where they talked about dentists, mail carriers, contractors and other jobs that have a role in the community. Each week they completed art projects based around the job they were learning about. My son loved playing soccer and working on kicking the balls which is excellent for coordination. His favorite part was when they would huddle up, put their hands in and say, “Go team!” He even got us to do it at home a few times when we were working on family projects.

Selfishly it was nice to be able to run some errands and spend quality time one-on-one with my daughter while he was happily entertained, learning and getting his wiggles out at Gymboree.

As a parent it is so rewarding to see your child be enthusiastic about learning. I love the environment they foster at Gymboree and the opportunity it gives children to make new friends. As a former teacher I love giving my children opportunities to listen to and learn from other instructors and to work with children outside their family and their familiar social circle so that they will feel more comfortable when school starts.

The school year is only a few weeks away and Gymboree is a wonderful option for children 5 and under to learn, play and grow in a safe and child friendly environment.

Growing up in Southern California where I played outdoor sports year-round and never applied sunscreen I always had a glowing tan. Over the years as I grew older, wiser to the dangers of extended sun exposure and more pale because of it, I really started to miss having a tan! I wanted to get a perfect tan without the dangers of conventional tanning so I started spending a lot of time and money researching and testing sunless alternatives.

Over the years I have tried several sunless tanners and they have each had their problems: orange, streaky, stinky, and oily to name a few. I became determined to find a better solution and that is when I came across .

Lindsay and her team at Million Dollar Tan had the same frustrations with the sunless tanning products on the market and sought to make something better. For over 10 years they have been proving the highest quality sunless tanning products and have tanned countless celebrities. Now their products are available directly. If you are new to sunless tanning they offer answers to any questions you may have on their website.

I recently tried their , which is a moisturizing Sunless Tanning Lotion and I have a lot to say about it! First of all it is paraben free and is made using organic ingredients. One of my favorite features of Cabana Tan is that it goes on clear. I hate the sunless tanning lotions, creams and foams that make me feel like I am just rubbing dye onto my skin. MDT’s Cabana Tan is different. The tan is water based so it won’t clog your pores or cause breakouts and it only fades as your skin naturally exfoliates which gives you a longer lasting, even fading tan. I love the fact that it dries quickly, isn’t sticky and doesn’t leave you with a greasy residue.

Cabana Tan is available in two shades, their regular Cabana Tan (which I used), and Cabana Tan Extreme for those who like a darker tan. I love the freedom that Cabana Tan gives you. You can apply it as often as you want to achieve the shade you like. Personally I like to apply it weekly for a perfect-bronzed glow. It really does leave your skin feeling moisturized.

I was surprised by how evenly it goes on. They recommend applying your regular lotion to hands, feet, elbows and knees before applying Cabana Tan since those are the spots that will soak up the lotion and color the most. This really made a difference! While they claim to be odor free I do not fully agree. However I can easily say that Cabana Tan has the least odor out of any sunless tanner I have tried and I strongly recommend using it with an odorless lotion. When I did that I barely noticed any scent at all.

Recently I went to my dentist’s office and when I walked through the door they asked if I had just gotten back from a vacation and were telling me how great my tan looked. I quickly told that that I hadn’t gone on vacation; I had just used Million Dollar Tan a couple days before. They were amazed and so am I! I know I sound like a walking infomercial but Million Dollar Tan’s Cabana Tan is a truly amazing product that I strongly recommend.

Gola has a very rich history. In May of 1905 Gola was born. By the mid 30’s they had their first ad campaign for football boots with the slogan ‘Gola means Goals’. They even made boots for the British Army during World War II. Since then they have continued to focus on boots and shoes as well as football and rugby boots. It has become a major brand both in sports and fashion. Gola is the footwear of choice for celebrities like Jude Law and Coldplay. Gola is now more than 100 years old and is an amazing company that continues to evolve and expand. As a soccer fan I love that Gola has put their footprint (pun intend) on the sport!

Their signature style exemplifies fun and function. I love the variety of colors and styles that features while still keeping their unique look. Here are a few of my favorite styles:

I was excited to review the , which is a fashion inspired trainer. The Quota features a washed canvas upper to give an authentic, worn look as well as a vintage style, worn bottom. It came broken in and instantly looked and felt like your favorite pair. They didn’t look worn out or old, just broken in. No blisters or breaking in period, which is fantastic! Sneakers, flip-flops or ballet flats are all I wear. These Gola Quota- Black/Black shoes are perfect for everyday.

The vintage look is only one of their styles, if that’s not your style believe me they have plenty of options! If you are looking for more of a statement Gola has you covered there too with bold colors and patterns for any personality.

Hopefully in the future they will offer half sizes. I am a 9 ½ or 10 so I went with the 10 and it worked great. Comfort and style are important to me and I love that Gola embodies both fully. With fall coming I have no doubt that I will be wearing these shoes all the time! I love the fact that they offer shoes in Mens, Womens, and Kids sizes. It is a perfect shoe to keep in mind for back to school.

Anytime Costumes Buzz Lightyear Halloween Costume Review

The next best thing to actually being a super hero is dressing up like one! My son loves dressing up like his favorite characters and super heroes. When he helped me get the mail and saw that he got a from AnytimeCostumes.com you would not believe how quickly his face lit up!

He could not wait to get it on the minute we walked in the door and put it on. All day was flying around my house and crashing on my couch. It is amazing how much dress up and pretend play foster imagination and creativity. He was using taglines, pressing the buttons and saving his sister from imaginary forces. We had the best time. Toy Story is one of my son’s favorite movies and I love that AnytimeCostumes.com offers great costumes from popular movies and TV shows.

I was impressed with the costume overall. It came complete with the hood and even the flared leg pieces and folds up to be very compact. They also offer the inflatable wings and gloves that are sold separately.  The back closure is easy Velcro and he is completely comfortable in it. The drawbacks in my mind are that the costume is hand wash only which can be hard when it is primarily white. This is certainly not a deal breaker for me but I do love machine washable kids clothes. The white pants are also a little sheer so you need to be mindful of what they wear underneath.
