Ageless Derma Apple Stem Cell and Peptide Anti Wrinkle Cream Review

There are a lot of anti-aging creams out there and I have tried out a few of them, but I have never found something that really wowed me so I was happy to be able to review the Ageless Derma Stem Cell and Peptide Anti Wrinkle Cream in hopes that I would have all of my wrinkles disappear.

This skincare uses apple stem cell extract called PhytoCellTec that has been shown to have 100% effectiveness in measurably reducing facial wrinkles. In addition to reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, it is supposed to improve the firmness and elasticity of skin, remove crow’s feet and re-energize skin for a smoother, firmer and younger look.

I have really enjoyed using my Stem-Cell and Peptide Cream over the past few weeks. I feel like it is too early for me to say that I have seen my fine lines and wrinkle disappear, but I can say that my skin feels fresh and bright. I am excited to keep using the cream to see if, over a longer time of using it, my wrinkles go away. I do like that there are so many great anti-aging ingredients in this product because, let’s face it, everyone’s skin is aging and we need to be pro-active now before the damage of the elements and age take their toll.

The formula has a very nice clean and almost citrus smell to it . Even with my sensitive skin I do not breakout when I am using it. I really enjoy using this cream morning and night because I know I am doing something good for my skin. I also really love the packaging and dispenser. You just press the top down and the perfect amount of cream is pumped out the top. Very user friendly and unique.

Nancy B’s Microscope by Educational Insights Review and Giveaway {US/Can Ends 5/8}

I remember the first time I looked through a microscope in 6th grade science class–it was a truly magical experience. I remember thinking it was amazing to be able to see the details of objects and animals that I never would have been able to see without my super cool microscope.

From then on I was always the first one in line when we did anything with microscopes in the classroom. I loved the discovery of this hidden tiny world. I was so excited to give the same experience to my daughter with a review of the Nancy B’s Microscope kit.

P opened the box as soon as it arrived at our house and took everything out. She was super excited to explore the world of tiny things just like her mama. The kit comes with:

30x–400x Light and dissecting microscope with rubber eye cup and focusing knob

First, we studied each of the 4 prepared slides under the microscope, and filled out the information in her discovery journal. Then we went exploring in the backyard to find some more fun things to magnify. It was so fun to see my daughter’s face light up as she would look through the microscope exploring her treasures. I think this kit is a lot of fun and great to keep children excited about exploring and science.

I was expecting some metal tools for slicing specimens and taking samples, but all of the accessories and even the microscope are plastic so know that this is definitely a toy microscope. There are two settings on the microscope for a backlit and a top lite view, each has their pros and cons. I personally like the back lite view because you seem to be able to see more details than on the top lite view.

Longer Eyelashes with Fysiko Serum {Review}

I have been thinking of trying fake lashes for a while now because they looked like a lot of fun and they are very popular around here. The only thing is, I really did not want to have to deal with the hassle of getting them filled, looking silly when they started to fall off, and the biggest issue—the expense! I really wanted to find a way to have more of a WOW factor with my eyelashes so when I was asked to review the Fysiko EyeLash Serum I thought it would be fun to give it a try.

The serum is simply applied with a small brush in a mascara-like tube. You are supposed to apply the serum daily for the best results, but I have to tell you that I did skip a few days here and there and my lashes still turned out awesome.

I found that it took a full 8-10 weeks to really see a noticeable difference in my lashes, but by week 12-13 my friends and family started asking me what I was using to make my lashed grow because they thought they were so long. It is always a good feeling when other people notice differences in your appearance, and compliment you on them.

The real proof is in the results pictured below. I was really surprised that my lashes have gotten so long and full. I have always had pretty nice eyelashes but now they definitely have that WOW factor I was looking for.

Now that my lashes have reached the point I am please with I only have to use the serum a few times a week to maintain my look. I really like that this container is supposed to last me 6-8 months but I actually think it will last longer than that since I am not using the product every day.

TwirlyGirl Mixing Magic Dress Review

Before my oldest daughter was born I knew that having a little girl was going to be fun for many reasons, but one of my favorites has to be the clothes! Don’t get me wrong boys have some cute clothes too, but girls have so many more options. I especially love fancy dresses for girls from TwirlyGirl!

I was excited to be able to work with TwirlyGirl, first, because the fancy girls dresses caught my eye, and second, I love their whimsical and fun company mantra. All of the kids pictured on their website look like they are enjoying life and spinning around having so much fun. I knew that my girls would love to feel just as carefree and special in these fun dresses that just beg you to twirl in them!

When my daughter opened up her TwirlyGirl package we were delighted to find it gift wrapped in fabric and ribbons; another extra special touch that makes this company stand out from the rest. Organize with Thirty-One Gifts {Review}

Being the bag-oholic I am, I am super excited to bring you this fun review of three more great Thirty-One Gifts bags to help you get you organized and prepared for all of your fun activities this spring and summer.

Now that the weather is warming up we are spending a lot more time outside at baseball practice or just playing at the park. Of course this is the weather we live for in Vegas, but all of the outside activity means we are also spending more time in the car traveling around, and in turn that means there is more trash in my van. I have been looking for a good way to solve my trash issue for a while now, and I can happily tell you that Thirty-One Gifts has come up with the perfect solution—the Pack N’ Pull Caddy.

I have to say this is on my top ten favorite review items just because it is so practical, but it is also adorable! I love the Tissues & Trash embroidery and the pattern and colors. It is just a happy bag! There are two compartments in the caddy to allow for a box of tissues and also a small grocery store bag to be hooked inside to hold trash. It hangs perfectly on the headrest of the seat so that it is off the floor and easily accessible to everyone.

The Fresh Market Thermal is a great size for a family picnic or for bringing snacks after the big game. It can hold a lot of drinks and food, but it is not too large that you can’t lift it. I really like that there is a pocket in the front of the thermal to pace your keys, a bottle of sunscreen, or even your utensils for a picnic. I am loving the subtle chevron stripes on the thermal and bright orange embroidery. It turned out beyond cute!

Besides my Pack N’ Pull Caddy I have probably used my Deluxe Utility Tote with Deluxe Cinch-Top Lid and Pocket-A-Tote the most in the last few weeks. We recently went on a road trip for a week and I found myself piling in all of the snacks and odds and ends into my Deluxe Utility Tote. The 3 extra pockets in the front of the tote, as well as the Pocket-A-Tote, makes keeping track of my smaller items simple.

As you can see from the pictures above the Deluxe Cinch-Top Lid really does give me more room to stuff all of our items in without everything spilling out. I am looking forward to using this tote when we head to the pool this summer. I know I can fit towels for our whole family plus snack and drinks in this one bag—love it! The embroidery adds personality and style to this set to make it stand out.

Perrigo Nutritionals Baby Food Review and Giveaway {Ends 5/3 US}

Are you wondering what in the word Perrigo Nutritionals is? Don’t worry, I was scratching my head too when I first got an email about review their products, but I soon figured out that Perrigo Nutritionals is the company that makes TONS of the store brand baby food items on the market today.

I am a bargain shopper so I am always looking to save money and take advantage of a great deal. This means I have tried out many store brand items simply because they are less expensive than the big name brands–on sale. I have tried out everything from store brand diapers to yogurt drops and I can tell you that I cannot tell a difference between the two.

I was very excited to get my package of Perrigo Nutritionals to see what brands would be represented in the mix. It was interesting to see the two major retailers I shop at (Wal-Mart and Target) both get their inventory from Perrigo Nutritionals as well as many other stores. I had to laugh because I have been telling my husband this exact information for years, but I finally had the proof that the store brand items come from the same place, just packaged differently.

As you can see from the pictures my baby loves her Perrigo Nutritionals baby food! The yogurt bites dissolve easily in baby mouths as well as the puffs. I am loving the pureed pouches of food since they are simple to use when I am out and about and my baby has started to take an interesting in feeding herself. The products Perrigo Nutritionals makes are high quality and one of only four companies recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for meeting the strict FDA requirements for safety, nutrition and quality for infant formula-manufacturing in the United States. Plus, the same standards and expertise used to develop infant formula applied to toddler foods

Since I am breast feeding baby D I asked a friend of mine to test out the formula I received and she said that she has bought some big name brands and her baby was always gassy and uncomfortable, but when she switched to the Parents Choice formula I gave her the baby seemed to have his digestion problems subside and his gas was almost completely gone. She has decided to keep using the Perrigo Nutritionals formula since it is more agreeable with her baby’s tummy. Another great tidbit for formula moms…you can save up to 50 percent on infant formula by choosing a store brand over a national brand, and making the switch can save you about $600 a year.

My Perrigo Nutritionals package came with a great little gem in the form of a book. I received a copy of Crystal Paine’s 5 Money Saving Tips for Families and I am really enjoying her advice on saving money. Here are a few ideas she gives in her book:

Create a Budget
a budget gives you parameters and purpose, it gives you boundaries, and it gives you freedom to live creatively within those boundaries.

Shop With Cash
When you shop with a credit card (or even a debit card, for that matter!) you can have your budget in your head and you can do the best to stick with it when you check out, but it’s so much easier to go just a little bit over here and there when you’re swiping!

Plan a Menu
When you have a plan in place for what you’re supposed to be eating each meal and you’ve already purchased the ingredients for those recipes, it’s a lot harder to justify chucking the plan for takeout.

Use Coupons
Coupons are a great way to save a lot of money on your grocery bill, but they can be hard to keep up with. Clipping, sorting, and organizing coupons takes time — so enter a coupon database! You’ll have access to printable and other coupons currently available and it’s one of the most effective and efficient ways to save money on groceries.

Buy Store Brands
One way to save a great deal of money on your grocery budget is to learn to like and use a variety of brands. The sooner you can get over being a brand-snob, the more your pocketbook will thank you.

Saving the Earth with simplehuman {Review}

Happy Earth Day! What better way to celebrate our wonderful planet than with a review that will make recycling easier and more functional in your home? I know that I have struggled to find a good system for recycling in our house, but thankfully we have figured out a great plan and I am excited to share it with you!

Our old sensor trash can broke a long time ago and we have been making due for longer than I would like to admit, and my trash has been all over the place as you can see from the picture below.

Once baby D started crawling and becoming mobile it suddenly became a top priority to get our trash and recycling situation under control. I researched many companies and many trash cans until I found the perfect fit for our household with simplehuman. Simplehuman has a line of recyclers made with dual containers build into one trash can but I knew with the amount of trash and recycling we go through that we needed a larger recycler than the typical 8 gallon size. I ended up choosing two of the in the 45 liter size (around 12 gallon capacity) to review; one for trash and one for recycling.

I was surprised when they arrived at how big the boxes were and the size of the trash cans themselves. But after using them I know why simplehuman makes a slightly larger can and why they are so fabulous!

There is an inner bin that you place your trash bag around and that bin fits down in the trash can to give a very sleek appearance and hides the trash bag overhang. The bags are the easiest I have ever experiences to change with this can. There is a little ledge that you set the inner bin on while you remove the trash bag and then replace the liner. It makes getting the bag in and out super easy.

Simplehuman does make their own liners to fit their trash cans and honestly I thought the actual bag was no big deal as long as it fit in your trash can, but it really does make a difference with this system. I have tried both the liners that simplehuman offers that are made to fit the trash can and a regular 13 gallon bag (which will fit the 45 liter can) and in my opinion the simplehuman bags are much better at releasing from the sided of the bin and overall a better fit. Simplehuman even makes a fun blue recycle bag to clearly distinguish your recyclables from your trash. Of course you can use a regular 13 gallon trash bag, but you do get a sample package of 10 liners with your trash can to test out and you may be surprised at how great the simplehuman trash bags work once you try them.

I have been so impressed with the sturdiness and quality of these trash cans. I have never owned a simplehuman trash can before, but now I don’t think I can go back to just a regular old trash can. You are definitely getting what you pay for with simplehuman! The step pedal on the trash can is heavy duty and made to last for 150,000 steps — that’s more than 20 steps a day for 20 years. WOW! I can also say after having this trash can in my house for the past month it can take the daily wear of a family of six plus the company that comes in and out of our house and it still looks new.

I am so happy I went with the manual step can with a baby. My last trash can was a sensor open top and it was great for a childless couple or older kids, but with toddlers I constantly had kids playing in the trash and opening the lid. Eventually the lid got broken from the kids playing with it. I really like that I can slid the bars in place to keep the lid open if I want to or just use it regularly by stepping on it. It keeps the baby out of the trash, but allows my other kids (even my 3 year old) to access the trash can as needed.

The only problem I ran into with my custom recycling system was telling the difference between my identical trash cans. I needed a way to differentiate between the recycling can and the regular trash. After giving it some thought, I decided a vinyl decal would be perfect for my kids and any visitors to know where to put trash and recycling. Thankfully Laura has been working with Silhouette and she was able to create some fabulous recycling stickers for me to use. It was super easy to apply the vinyl and the results are perfect! Now my trash cans look great and are stylishly distinguished too!
