Getting back into the routine of school and busy schedules takes a little time for everyone to adjust and we are no different in our family. Well, this year has been a little different and a little more hectic since our house flooded the second day of school!! We have been living in chaos for over two weeks now, but one thing has remained the same–I want to make sure my kids are eating healthy, yummy meals! No matter how busy we get or the curve balls of life (like your house flooding) eating healthy food is always a top priority for us.
I am so glad my children love sandwiches and that they love to be involved in making them too. The other day I decided we would have a sandwich buffet where I pulled out every sandwich ingredient we had in the house and each child got to make their own creation. They were making traditional ham sandwiches, tuna fish, peanut putter and honey, and even some non-traditional variations like peanut butter and banana (yummo!), and tuna and Cheetos (it is actually really good!).
