Our loyal fans have been reading about the yummy food I have been getting with my Winder Farms orders for the past few weeks so I am sure you are excited for this post because now you get to win a FREE box of produce! My full order included some sugar snap peas, flavored milk, apple juice, and the produce box. We love fresh veggies and my kids will snack on fresh fruit and veggies so I buy a lot of produce, especially during the summer, to cut down on unhealthy snacking. The produce was fresh and crisp and there is a good variety of items included in the box. Because of my obsession with Winder’s flavored milk, I had to try out the newest flavor, peaches and cream, as well as get a few more bottles of my all time favorite milk, chocolate caramel.
There is over 10 pounds of fruits and vegetables in the produce box and it also comes with two recipes to give you ideas of how to use all of the produce in your box. I thought it was great to have some recipes to get the creative cooking juices flowing, but we ended up eating most of the fruits and vegetables raw or simply steamed with salt and pepper. I used the basil to make a mini pizza and some homemade creamy pesto dressing. Oh my!
