Automatic Wine Opener – The Best New Technology for Wine Lovers

I couldn’t wait to share with you the best technology out there for wine lovers. When I had the chance to review the automatic wine opener, I knew it was the best product for me, becuase while I love a glass of wine at night with dinner, I hate opening up the wine bottle. It’s such a hassle, the paper usually cuts into my finger and half the time I nearly break the wine opener (or the cork) in the whole process. I think there should be a class or something on opening a wine bottle without breaking into a sweat.

And that is why I am so excited to bring you the automatic wine opener!

When you first get the automatic opener, you get a little paper cutter that takes off the label to expose the cork (assuming you haven’t purchased box wine or a twist off bottle!) and this also works as a little stand for your wine opener. I found that the cutter they provided works great, although it takes a little getting used to how to work it.

Next, the actual opening process. You basically place the automatic opener at the top of the bottle and you press down, while spinning the bottle counter clockwise. It did take me a few tries to get a handle on this. But after I finally got the process down, it made opening up a bottle of wine a complete cinch. I also had my older brother try it out and he really enjoyed it.

The final step is removing the cork and all you do is press down at the top and the opener spits out the cork.

I did find that you do need to charge the automatic opener at least once every couple of weeks. After a while of not charging, I found that the opener really slows down and has a little trouble opening up a bottle after two weeks of using it every night.

Overall? This makes for a fantastic gift for a wine connoiseur or anyone who enjoys a glass of wine every now and then, really. It might be one of those gifts where you receive it and go, “Wha…?” But after you get used to it, you will find yourself using this contraption way more often than you use your old standard opener. In fact, I wish they’d put this thing in restaurants so I didn’t have to uncomfortable watch waiters and waitresses struggle with opening the wine bottle at the table.
