This is probably one of the best treat recipe for peaches that you will find. My friend made this treat once and ever since I have never stopped making this dessert over and over again. This recipe is the best with fresh peaches, but if peaches are out of season canned works just fine too. 😉
Fresh Peach Dessert
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 oz. pkg. orange jello
- 4 cups diced peaches
- 2 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 4 tbsp. powdered sugar (used 2x in recipe)
- 1 square melted margarine
- 11 oz. pkg. cream cheese
Instructions
- 1. Boil until thick: 1 3/4 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 2 tbsp. cornstarch.
- 2. Add: 3 oz. pkg. orange jello. Set until chilled and then add 4 cups of diced peaches.
- 3. To make crust: combine 2 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, 4 tbsp. powdered sugar, and 1 square of melted margarine. Mix well. Place 1/2 of the crumbs in bottom of a 9x13 pan.
- 4. Cream: 11 oz. pkg. cream cheese with 4 tbsp. powdered sugar. Add 12 oz of cool whip and stir until smooth. Spread 1/2 of whipped topping on top of the crumbs in the pan.
- 5. Add jello mix on top of the crumb and whipped topping layers. Then spread the other 1/2 of the whipped topping spread followed by the rest of the crumbs on top. You will have 5 thin layers total.
- 6. Keep chilled in the fridge and enjoy whenever desired.
