The awesome thing about chocolate-chip cookies is that they can be made a million different ways. Dark chocolate, white chocolate, chocolate chunk, M&Ms, etc. No matter what I use, the cookie is going in my mouth regardless. This is a college girl’s take on the original chocolate-chip cookie. Add whatever chocolate you like and experiment with ingredients to create something new! Enjoy these homemade delicious treats!

Erin’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cube butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 4 1/4 cups flour
Instructions
- Cream sugars, shortening, and butter.
- Add eggs one at a time and vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients.
- Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 9 minutes.

These cookies burn easily, so a sweet reminder to not overcook!
