These yummy treats are a perfect blend of peanut-butter, melted marshmallows and Cheerios. I thought I loved Cheerios cereal when the Multigrain version hit the markets. Then the brand took it up a notch by coming out with the Cheerios peanut butter version. I thought I would die from happiness. Then I discovered that this awesome peanut-buttery cereal could be made into bars, balls, and other deserts. With a few simple ingredients, this cereal becomes a wining combination for sure. If you have a few minutes to whip up a yummy concoction, I definitely suggest taking this recipe for a spin. You will not be disappointed!
These peanut butter bars are the best! We make these all the time and they always go quickly. It is a quick treat to make and easy to grab and go!
Ingredients
- 6 cups Peanut Butter Cheerios
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/3–2/3 cup smooth peanut butter
- 10 ounces regular-sized marshmallows
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Grease a 9 x 13 pan with butter.
- In a pot over medium-high heat, melt the better and peanut butter together. And the marshmallows until melted.
- Turn heat off and add Peanut Butter Cheerios. Stir mix until all cereal is coated.
- Press Cheerio mix into pan while cereal is still warm. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. The chips should melt slightly.
- Let cool and serve.
Notes
*Recipe can be made with and without chocolate chips. Candy of your choosing can also be added to the recipe. Bars are more solid with less peanut butter.
