Transformer Halloween Costume Review

“Mom, look that car looks just like Bumblebee from transformers!”  This is a statement I hear every time we are driving around town.  It is safe to say that my 4 year old loves transformers and more specifically Bumblebee.  When I was asked to do a review on I knew my little man would be more than happy to help out.

We went to the Wholesale Halloween Costume website and looked up super heroes and before I could get through the first page of costumes my son spotted the Bumblebee Transformer.  There were a few options to choose from but we finally narrowed it down to the one pictured below.  I knew that we wanted the costume to big enough to use for Halloween later this year so I choose to go up a size to a medium.  We have some room for growth so I am glad that we got the medum, and I think it will fit great by October.

The front of the costume with all the parts on is really cute, but I do wish the print wrapped around to the back too.  Under the chest plate is also grey with no print.  I would have liked to have print on the whole costume in case you don’t want to put the plastic robot parts on.  None of that seems to effect my sons opinion of the costume.  He loves to run and shoot his arm gun and he told me the best part of his costume is the armor.

The jumpsuit is machine washable and then line dry.  The plastic armor can be wiped down with a wet cloth to clean it.  The armor seems like it is thick enough to stand up to lots of play and even a two year old stepping on it, but I would recommend storing the armor pieces off to ground so they don’t get broken.

We have gotten a lot of great play out of this costume already.  My son puts his costume on first thing in the morning and has even come to school fully dresses as Bumblebee to pick up his sister.  I got a few looks from other parents, but it is worth it to have him happy!  We are just playing dress up , but check out this  to read about heroes that are saving kids lives every day.  Grateful to have the real heroes out there for my kids to look up to also.
