Tangy Green Bean Casserole #ThisIsMyTwist

This is a sponsored post.  All opinions are 100% my own.

Fall is in the air and the holidays are almost here and that means lots of great food that brings back wonderful memories!  My all-time favorite holiday is Thanksgiving.  I love that we get to focus on being together as family and friends with yummy food counting all of our blessings on Thanksgiving.  To me it is a holiday all about gratitude, and I have to say one of the things I always give thanks for is the amazing spread of food we have to feast on every year.  One of my top side dishes to make and consume for this blessed holiday is Green Bean Casserole—yum!

I am lucky enough to be working with Del Monte®, Campbell’s® and French’s® to share my twist on the much loved and classic side dish of Green Bean Casserole with you.  One of the things I love about the original Green Bean Casserole recipe is how simple and tasty it is.  My whole family loves the home-style flavors, and I love that I usually have everything I need on-hand in my cupboard.  Of course, the original recipe is amazing, but there are a few little twists I have been doing the past couple of years that really make this side dish my own.  I always get asked why my Green Bean Casserole tastes so good so I thought this would be the perfect time to share my secret twists with you.  Here they are….Worcestershire sauce, ground mustard powder and cheese.  Yes, that is it–adding three little ingredients to the original recipe really make this dish stand out.  It gives it a little tang and a little zip that makes everyone want to come back for seconds.

I know what you are thinking—adding these three things is not going to make this dish that different, but all I can say is…try it!  You might just be giving thanks for this recipe this Thanksgiving as everyone asks you what you did to make the Green Bean Casserole so amazing.
