Santa Approved GUM Toothbrushes

I’m sure many of you are beginning to think of Holiday shopping or have even made a big dent in your list .  What about stocking stuffers? Don’t forget to add them to your list.  Santa always brings the Whitehead children a toothbrush in their stocking.  My oldest children will quickly tell you that is not necessary.  My youngest (age 3) well he will think Santa is the coolest for bringing one of the  Santa approved GUM .

GUM toothbrushes come in a variety of characters and designs that encourage children to brush properly and more often.

·         The GUM  Dinosaur Train™ Manual toothbrushes (for younger children) feature Buddy and Tiny from the popular television show, Dinosaur Train

Recognizable Characters makes brushing fun and in this Moms opinion easier.  It is much easier for me to get my son to want to brush his teeth if it is something he likes.  If you’ve ever had a three year old well you know how stubborn they can be.

The GUM dinosaur train manual toothbrush has several features:

  • A narrow tapered toothbrush head that is comfortable for a small mouth .
  • Ultra-Soft bristles to massage gums and teeth.
  • A suction cup base which is great for easy storage
Packaging includes 2 toothbrushes and the suggested retail price is $2.99

·         The GUM Crayola™ Power toothbrush is designed like the popular Crayola™ markers and features ultra-soft oscillating bristles that gently massage gums and clean teeth. It comes with stickers for personalization and features a new cap with ventilation holes that keep the brush head clean and is great for travel.

This Mom really likes the sticker personalization.  The GUM Crayola Power Toothbrush also has several great features.

  • Its cordless and battery operated which requires no recharging
  • Has ultra-soft bristles to massage gums and teeth
  • Suction Cup base for storage
  • 75 stickers for personalization (Cool right? )
  • toothbrush cap with ventilation holes to keep your brush clean
  • Crayola brand appeals to both boys and girls
  • Is recommended by dental professionals
This toothbrush comes in 4 cute colors:  itty bitty blue, raspberry squirt, tiny tangerine and teensy  teal.  The suggested retail price for this brush is $5.99.

·         The GUM Crayola Timer Light  toothbrush will help children learn to brush the two minutes recommended by Dentist and make the process fun. This light-up toothbrush flashes for 60-second intervals to help teach kids to brush longer and ensure better oral health, even when Santa isn’t watching.

This toothbrush is so Cool! We love the light up timer feature.  Other great features include:

  • Dome trim bristles that remove plaque effectively
  • Ultra-soft bristles to massage gums and teeth
  • Two color coordinated lights that illuminate the entire brush and flash for 60 seconds
  • Crayola brand appeal for both boys/girls
  • 4 colors available (red,blue,green, and purple)
  • Is recommended by dental professionals.
Suggested retail price of this brush is $3.49.

I know the Gum Santa approved brushes will be a great addition to our stockings this year.  Now if we can all just land on the nice list.

Will your child’s dental habits put them on this years ”naughty” or “nice” list this year?  Since we know how important it is to be on his good side, we got a sneak peek at Santa’s list and are sharing it with you so you can help your little ones be “nice” all year long!

NAUGHTY

  • Eating sticky and sugary snacks like candy
  • Not brushing teeth before bed
  • Only brushing for a few seconds
  • Brushing teeth without adult supervision
  • Using the same toothbrush all year long
  • Using an adult sized toothbrush
  • Ignoring any white spots that appear on teeth
  • Waiting until a child’s is in school to visit the dentist

NICE

  • Eating healthy snacks like cheese and fruit
  • Brushing at least twice per day most importantly at night
  • Brushing for two minutes-one minute for the top teeth, and one minute from the bottom teeth.
  • Parents helping kids brush their teeth by showing proper techniques and ensuring they’re brushing long enough.
  • Replacing toothbrush every three months.
  • Using a child sized toothbrush designed to effectively clean small teeth
  • Going to the Dentist as soon as a white spot appears , since it is the first sign of a dental cavity
  • Making a child’s first dental appointment when she turns one or gets his /her first teeth.

How well did you guys do?  Are you on the Naughty or on the Nice list?
