Dustin Maher Fitness Review and Giveaway (Ends 12/5)

 A few posts ago, I mentioned that I have been trying to get in shape since my third baby.  I have never been consistent about working out, but I know that I am at a point in my life where I need to be healthy not only for me, but for my kids.  I was excited to get the chance to review some items.   


For me it is all about getting tone and having more energy.  I received Dustin’s book “Fit Mom’s For Life” and to get me started.  His book is full of other mom’s journeys and how they were able to success in their quest for a healthy lifestyle.  It will be available to the public for purchase on the 5th of December.  I have never read a book about working out before and I have to say that it is very motivational to read what other people, other moms, have struggled with.  I felt a connection to them and also knew that if they could do it then I could too.  I love that Dustin’s whole focus is on moms and helping to specifically target areas that women have trouble with.

After getting motivated by his book I popped in my Got Core Workout DVD.  It is a two CD set of eight workouts with and interview and introduction.  It may seem like a small detail, but I liked that the video is set in the living room of a house.  It immediately felt more like Dustin was my person trainer in my home than in a big studio filming.  The workouts were great, except that I am only on level two since my core muscles are so weak.  I do feel like my stomach is getting a workout and I can always tell because I am sore after.  I am so excited about “the vacuum” exercise that I really need for my separated abdominal muscles.

In a nutshell, Dustin knows a ton about the human body and how to get results.  He trains you on exercises and techniques, but also reminds you that diet has to be a part of the plan also.  If you are into making New Year resolutions check out Dustin Maher Fitness for the monthly program he offers to moms.

  1. I’ve always struggled with my weight – and I have learned that if I have workout DVDs that i enjoy, I’m much more likely to workout. I just lost almost 30 pounds, and I know I have to stick with it to keep it off for life!
